So I had my day out today at Cardiff Castle. Pretty good stuff - lots of visible Roman and Norman components, in addition to the less interesting 18th cen. stuff. Had two phenomenal views from the keep (above). The first (below) is the city and Millennium Stadium, home of rugby galore.

The second was the view of the Goat Major, which is, as you know, my favorite place in Cardiff. Today they clearly remembered me and both barkeeps joked with me. I was like Norm in Cheers. I am finally home. Also ate fish pie for lunch. And a pint or two. Yum.

Finally, I also went to the Central Market where they sell local specialities, as advertised below. Yum. The traditional Welsh Kangaroo and Impala pies looked really good.

Sounds like a nice paid vacation, good drink, excelent food and spacious rooms with all the comforts of WCU.
